Monday 18th February - Lichfield Round-Up

It was a good evening of 6 a side football in Lichfield on Monday which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night apart from The Fountain for the second consecutive week, they have been removed from the league as a result.

Old Heads could have a real say in where the title ends up in the Premier Division, as they inflicted a third consecutive defeat on Colonel Getafe, 2-0 the final score as Getafe cling on to top spot for dear life compared to where they were three weeks ago.  Athletico Pathetico sit in second after another win and have admirably closed the gap in recent weeks, they won 2-1 against Ice Pack, and face Old Heads in the final game of the campaign.

Congratulations to Warded Stags who sealed the title, albeit it with a 5-0 default after the failure to attend of Fountain, nevertheless it is thoroughly deserved over the course of the campaign.  New team Fat Doinks had a baptism of fire against BG Then Para as they were thrashed 7-0, with BG securing promotion to the top league too.
