Title: Week 7 of Guernsey Wednesday League Ends with a Flair

As the seventh week of the Guernsey Wednesday 6-a-side Football League wrapped up yesterday, the energy and enthusiasm amongst the players and fans were palpable.

In the Premier League division, One Foot In The Grave put on a robust display against Too Many Flutes FC with a final score of 3-1. Les Green Mango FC proved their mettle by outscoring Substandard Liege 5-1. Baines On Toast eked out a hard-fought victory against Aztekkers with a final score of 3-2, while Los Diablos emerged triumphant against Class On Grass with a 3-0 clean sweep. The night ended with Spacejam FC putting up a good fight against Bossolona, winning 2-0.

In Division 1, the standout match was between Tiki Tekkers and KPMxG, where KPMxG dominated the field with an impressive 8-2 victory. RC FC defeated Football Club FC 4-1, while Brentford Rejects and Egg Fried Reus held each other to a goalless draw. Ran Out Of Mane lost narrowly to Pelé Galaxy CF 1-0. Burnley Babes and Exeter Gently ended their game with a 3-3 draw.

Division 2 saw Bitcoin overpower FC Augsburg 3-1, while AFC Pornmouth took an easy win over Cherry-Poppers with a 5-1 scoreline. 2 Girls 1 Schlupp were victorious against EY 11 with a 4-2 win, whereas GUERNSEY ACADEMICALS ran away with the game against AAFC, scoring an impressive 9 goals against 3. Lochness Donkeys narrowly edged out Purple Reign in a tightly contested match that ended 4-3.

The top scorers for each division were Los Diablos for the Premier League, KPMxG for Division1, and GUERNSEY ACADEMICALS for Division 2.

With the week 7 games concluding, anticipation for week 8 is already building, as the teams prepare to face off again next Wednesday. Will the top scorers maintain their streak, or will there be new challengers? Only time will tell.
