WEEKLY UPDATE FROM THE GUERNSEY WEDNESDAY LEAGUE 27TH MARCH

Another excellent evening in the Wednesday league held at King George V Leisure Centre with all teams in attendance and everything running as scheduled.

Chorizo FC maintained their 1 point lead at the top of the premier division as they were gifted a 5-0 victory this week. All Hail Miguel and Los Hombres kept the pressure on the leaders as they both gained impressive victories over Egg Fried Reus and Reserves FC respectively. Team No Calves moved in to 5th place this week as they gained a fine 5-1 victory over G A W S FC with Lewis Travis impressing in his man of the match display.

Guernsey Academicals moved to the top of division one as they cruised to a 4-0 victory over Fridge FC, taking full advantage of last weeks leaders The Zur falling to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Class On Grass. One Foot In The Grave, Les Green Mango FC and Baines On Toast remain just 2 points behind the leaders as we reach the mid point of the season.
