NEWARK - The Newark Monday 6-a-side football league, now in its fifth week, saw some thrilling action last night with the teams from the Premier League and Division 1 divisions delivering spectacular performances on the field.

In the Premier League, Ayew Radged claimed victory with a 4-2 win over Pique Blinders. Old Mags also had a reason to celebrate, narrowly edging out PortuGyal with a 2-1 victory. However, the most eye-catching result was the dominant 8-0 win by The Hoop Scranners over Moleicester City FC. The Hoop Scranners' victory was largely attributed to Rubin Simpson's stellar performance, netting an impressive four goals to take his place as the top scorer in the Premier League division this week.

Over in Division 1, Uptons clinched a tight 2-1 win over Nutinyamums Forest while Pinhead FC secured a comfortable 3-0 victory against Rio Cabs FC. However, the highlight of the division's games was Fisherthem's 2-1 win over MacAwoniyi Cheese, thanks to the exceptional performance by Thabo Essup Mogae. Mogae, who scored both of Fisherthem's goals, touted as the top scorer in Division 1.

As we head into the sixth week of the Newark Monday 6-a-side Football League, fans are eagerly anticipating more exhilarating matches and outstanding individual performances. The competition is heating up, and only time will tell which teams will rise to the top of their respective divisions.
