In a thrilling display of talent and tenacity, the Melton Mowbray Thursday football league saw some truly exhilarating games in its 11th week. 

The Premier League, showcased a series of nail-biting matches. Flying Squirrels stamped their authority on the field with a commanding 10-1 victory over Midlife Mavericks. The Squirrels' dynamic attack was in full swing, leaving the Mavericks defence in dire straights.  A trio of hat-tricks from the squirrels was impressive but the worldy scored against the run of play from the American fella Zac ...... just wow; goal of the season contender!

Expected Toulouse put in a dogged display and despite Harvey "The Cat" Wiles stellar shot stopping, rivals Unreal Melton proved too strong in a 3-0 victory.  Relentless attacks from a well organised Unreal side put the result beyond doubt early in the second half.

Gopping Lizards found themselves on the wrong end of a 3-0 scoreline against a clinical Generations team. Generations' cohesive gameplay and stout defense proved too much for the Lizards to handle.  Jude managed to wind his dad up at half time by calling out a misguided strike - got to love support from your own offspring!  Shaun C couldn't believe he had to play the last minute and was heard saying something like "just blow the whistle ref" in a uniquely whiney way. 

Billy G decided that rest/drinking was a better option and he stood at the sideline and watched his team, Gadders FC, ruthlessly dismantle Gangsters Alladyce in a 6-0 showdown. Tom Hemfrey of Gadders FC emerged as the top scorer this week in the Premier League, netting an impressive four goals. Hemfrey's clinical finishing was a sight to behold, and his performance played a crucial role in Gadders FC's emphatic victory.

As we head into the 12th week, the Premier League division is poised for more electrifying matches, promising football of the highest quality. The teams are gearing up for the challenges ahead, making the Melton Mowbray Thursday league a must-watch for all football enthusiasts.
