This week saw the sixth round of the Melton Mowbray Thursday 6-a-side Football League with sensational performances from teams and individual players alike.

In the Premier League, Unreal Melton delivered a stunning gameplay with a 9-0 victory over newcomers Interyanan. Liam of Unreal Melton emerged as the top scorer in this division, firing in a spectacular three goals in the match an absolute rocket into the top bin from Kez can't go unmentioned. Meanwhile, Gadders FC and Le Saux Solid Crew played out a thrilling 4-4 draw, real end to end stuff marred by poor refereeing decisions. Lord Of The Ings also showcased a strong performance, beating a weakened Generations side with a scoreline of 4-1.

Over in Division 1, the Midlife Mavericks triumphed over Blazing Squad in a nail-biting match that ended 2-0, a deflected Macca shot wnrgfooted the keeper early on and Pete wouldn't shut up about his goal last week so needed a mention!!! Fake Madrid showcased their offensive might, defeating Calorie Dodgers with an impressive seven goals to one. The star of the match was Alfie, who netted an incredible five goals for Fake Madrid, claiming the top scorer title in Division 1. Expected Toulouse, however, couldn't stand up against the Gopping Lizards, losing the match 3-0.

Adding to the excitement of the week, the league recognized James Barrett from the Midlife Mavericks as the "Most Valued Player of the Week". Barrett’s outstanding performance with one class save low down to his right from a worldy shot and another super reaction that he was waxing lyrical about in the bar afterwards, has undeniably contributed to Midlife Mavericks' success tonight.
