Mildenhall Wednesday 6 a side end of season!

We reached the culmination to the Mildenhall Wednesday 6-a-side Football League last night, teams across two divisions showcased their skills in the final week. The Premier League and Division 1 witnessed some of the most competitive matches of the season with Murder On Zidanes Floor and Mirror Signal Malouda triumphing in their respective divisions.

PREMIER LEAGUE

In the Premier League, The Mighty Half Dozen faced a tough match against Casuals, where the latter came out on top with a score of 2-1. Casuals owe a big hand to their top scorer, Tom Bristley, who netted two goals, proving instrumental in their victory. However, despite their best efforts, it was Murder On Zidanes Floor who stole the show, finishing the season at the top of the Premier League and unbeaten with an impressive tally of 19 points and 9 wins. The Premier League Golden Boot goes to Jonah Sumpter of Ipswich.

DIVISION ONE

Over in Division 1, the competition was at its peak. Mirror Signal Malouda and Athletico Pathetico kept us on our toes, with Athletico Pathetico causing an upset to clinch a close victory of 4-3 over the champions. Mclovin FC and Studdown Studs also brought their A-game, with Studdown Studs winning with the same result. However, Papacitos FC left a mark with an 8-2 victory over Wednesday Down The Hub to seal promotion on goal difference.

The star of the show was undoubtedly Juan Orrego. Orrego, from Papacitos FC, was in blistering form, netting four goals in the match. His outstanding performance throughout the week made him the most valuable player of the week, a well-deserved accolade. When the dust settled, it was Mirror Signal Malouda who stood victorious in Division 1, bagging 16 points from 8 wins. The Div 1 Golden Boot goes to Jack Austin of McLovin.

As the final week of the season concludes, we applaud the hard work, skill, and sportsmanship showcased by all the teams. We look forward to another thrilling season of the Mildenhall Wednesday 6-a-side Football League.

Thank you to Brian for running the league week in week out and thank you to our regular referee's Kev and Alex.
