New Mildenhall Wednesday 6 a side season gets underway!

In the thrilling opening week of the Mildenhall Wednesday 6-a-side football league, we were treated to a series of exhilarating, high-octane matches filled with goals and standout performances.

PREMIER LEAGUE  

In the Premier League division, Papacitos FC got off to a flying start, beating Ipswich 4-2. Their victory was largely credited to the phenomenal performance of Juan Orrego, who netted twice, bagging the title of the division's top scorer and earning him the coveted Most Valued Player of the week.

Orrego's skill and tenacity guided Papacitos FC to their victory, illustrating the kind of exciting, top-tier football we can expect from this new season. In another gripping match in the Premier League, Div 1 champions Mirror Signal Malouda narrowly triumphed over reigning Prem champions Murder On Zidanes Floor with a scoreline of 6-5, showcasing the competitive spirit in this league.

DIVISION ONE

In Division 1, the goal fest continued. The most one sided scoreline of the night came from The Misfits being defeated 23-1 by 2 Star Ballerz. The victory was largely due to Jacob Gould, who scored an astonishing seven goals for the Ballerz, effortlessly securing his spot as the top scorer in Division 1.

Studdown Studs also had a tough night, losing 9-1 to Labas FC while Athletico Pathetico outplayed The Mighty Half Dozen, ending the match with a 6-0 victory.

The opening week of the season has indeed set an exciting precedent for the matches to come. With top performers like Orrego and Gould setting the bar high, teams across both divisions will undoubtedly be preparing fervently for the next round of encounters. This season promises an exhilarating ride for us as we witness the extraordinary talent on display in the Mildenhall Wednesday league.
