The Lincoln Thursday 6-a-side Football League has officially kicked off its season, ushering a wave of energetic and intense matches that have left spectators hooked and players already planning their next moves. The first week of the season saw extreme passion, superb skills, and high scoring games across three divisions namely: Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3.

In Division 1, Thunder Buddies made a thunderous start to the season by thrashing Innocent Until Proven Gylfi 6-1. Puyol Pants Down squeezed out a victory in a thrilling 5-4 encounter against Stepping Stone FC, while Sesh Fabregas secured a narrow 3-2 win over Rheady's Rovers. The opening week of matches in Division 1 gave us a taste of the drama and excitement we can expect throughout the season.

Division 2 saw a fiercely contested match between TSB FC and Accrington Scranley, which ended in a 5-5 draw. Pique Blinders demonstrated their prowess to defeat Broken Busquets 7-2, while Marshall Town FC narrowly edged past CAK with a 3-2 victory. The Division 2 teams have made it clear that they are here to play, and no team can be taken lightly.

Over in Division 3, Your Mother began their season with a 3-0 win over Fenebackache. Valentino's FC toppled Hotel? Thiago 5-3, and Pathetic Athletic claimed a 4-2 victory over CF RWR. Division 3 has set the stage for an exciting season with strong performances from all the teams.

As the season has just begun, it's too early to predict the eventual leaders of each division. However, the top scorers from the opening week matches in each division include Thunder Buddies in Division 1, Pique Blinders in Division 2, and Valentino's FC in Division 3. Their performances have set a high bar for the rest of the season, and we look forward to more action-packed matches in the coming weeks.
