Monday 23rd September - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Nuneaton Academy Monday 6 a side league this week, which saw the season come to an end and some well competed matches played across both divisions.


The Premier League was dominated by Newdigate United, who showed remarkable consistency throughout the season. They ended their campaign on a high note with a crushing 10-0 victory against The Manor FC. The victory secured the title with a total of 20 points from 9 wins, an incredible final result which saw them win the title on goal difference.


The Premier League also witnessed high-scoring matches with Expected Toulouse falling to Haven’t Got A Kalou 2-13, while Neville Wears Prada managed to keep a clean sheet against Wootton Street Wanderers, winning 4-0. Solidifying mid-table positions, Mass Debaters won 3-1 against Fancy Ballers in a tightly contested match.


On the other hand, Division 1 saw Ball Of Duty clinch the title with an impressive 23 points from 11 wins. Their final victory of 1-0 against Shaktar Senseless was a testament to their defensive strength and tactical prowess.


Gangsters Allardyce and Saviles Super Stars played out a thrilling 2-2 draw, while Inter Ya Nan had a convincing 5-1 win against Fill Me Wycombe. Despite their best efforts, Big Licks FC succumbed to Dad Bod Athletic 2-1.


The new season will kick off as normal on Monday 30th September, and all teams will be contacted with kick off information for the start of the new campaign.
