Monday 26th February - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was a slightly mixed evening in the Nuneaton Academy Monday 6 a side league this week as the Coventry FA Cup game had an unwanted effect on the league operation during the evening.  

We had Marston Lane, Dad Bod and Mass Debaters missing as they had given 7 days notice.  On top of this we had non-attendances from three teams which was disappointing.  We look forward to seeing Goal Goal Power Rangers and Unifabs FC return to action on Monday 4th March.  We've removed Paqueta Kenny from the league.

We welcome new team Lemon FC into the league from Monday 4th March and wish these good luck going into their debut game with us.

On the pitch,in the Premier League, it was a goal fest as 'Haven't Got A Kalou' put on a football clinic, outclassing 'Only Fools N Scorers' 9-2 in an action-packed encounter. The victors were relentless in their pursuit of goals, showcasing an impressive display of team coordination and individual skill.

In the other Premier League encounter of the night, 'Wootton Street Wanderers' carved out a hard-earned 3-1 victory over 'The Manor FC'. Despite a spirited performance by The Manor FC, they couldn't withstand the well-drilled Wanderers who dug deep to secure the win.

Meanwhile, in Division 1, 'INNAGE PARK FC' outgunned 'ClassOnGrass' in a 5-1 victory. The Park boys, as they are fondly called, were in top form, firing on all cylinders to claim victory. 'ClassOnGrass' put up a fight but were ultimately overwhelmed by INNAGE PARK's superior tactics and execution.

The Nuneaton Monday 6 a side football league continues next week, promising more thrilling battles on the pitch as teams jostle for league dominance.
