Monday 30th September - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was a good evening's football overall in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night across both divisions for the opening games of the new campaign.

Unfortunately following their abusive behaviour towards the match officials on Monday, coupled with their conduct during the game, Fancy Ballers have been removed from the league with immediate effect.  We will not tolerate poor behaviour such as this within our leagues, and this team had been warned prior regarding their conduct.

We welcome new team Muffin Munchers to the league as a replacement for the above.

In the Premier League, Neville Wears Prada outplayed Inter Ya Nan with a resounding 4-1 victory. However, the highlight of the day was a jaw-dropping performance from Haven’t Got A Kalou who stormed past The Manor FC with a staggering 10-1 win. Such a high scoring game at the start of the season sets the bar high for the upcoming fixtures. Meanwhile, Mass Debaters established their dominance over Newdigate United with a 4-0 win.

Switching over to Division 1, it was a goal fest for Dad Bod Athletic who overpowered Gangsters Allardyce with a convincing 10-2 victory. Wootton Street Wanderers started their campaign on a winning note defeating Saviles Super Stars 3-0. Big Licks FC demonstrated their offensive prowess against Fill Me Wycombe, clinching a 5-1 win. Expected Toulouse succumbed to a narrow 1-0 defeat against Shaktar Senseless.
