Sunday 10th December - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

Overall it was a good evening's football in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side league this week, which saw all teams in attendance barring two.  Wanyamas In Pyjamas will be spoken to accordingly to confirm their return on Sunday 17th December.  Unipart have been removed following their second failure to attend in a row, despite their assurances they would be back after last week.

On a positive note, we welcomed new team Norfolk N Chance to the league this week, and welcome another new team EEFC to the league on Sunday 17th December.  This is in addition to Blue Crown FC who joined us a couple of weeks ago too.

We are getting new signups, and are confident that the vacancies in the league will fill accordingly, especially going into the new year.  We have had to get rid of some of the lesser committed teams in recent weeks but thank all teams for their patience as we oversee this transition and look forward to getting the league full again in the coming weeks.

In the Premier League, Jack's Army edged past FC Positivity 1-0 in a closely contested encounter. The single-goal victory has strengthened Jack's Army's position heading into the final two weeks.

The action in Division 1 was no less exciting. Tekkerslovakia secured a hard-fought victory over Dixy Pigeons with a 2-1 scoreline. Meanwhile, an absolute goal-fest occurred between Gylfis Young Boys and Misfits, ending in a 4-4 stalemate.

Division 2 saw Beduff Rangers cruise past Kroos Control FC with a convincing 3-0 victory. The result gave a significant boost to Beduff Rangers, pushing them ahead in the standings.

In Division 3, The Griddlers and Ricky Spanish FC reigned supreme. The Griddlers managed a 2-0 win against Kevos Kids, while Ricky Spanish FC obliterated Tuffnells FC with an emphatic 8-0 victory.

Division 4 had its share of thrillers, too. NetSixAndChill outclassed Real Sosobad with a 4-0 victory, while Pain In Dias managed to overcome Blue Crown FC 3-1. The match between CTFC and Set 8 ended in a 2-2 draw.

With just two weeks left, the competition is heating up, and every match, every goal matters. The upcoming matches are eagerly anticipated as teams fight to secure their place in their respective divisions for the next season. It's all to play for in the Nuneaton Sunday 6-a-side Football League.
