It was a good evening's football in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches bar Sky Blues 87 who've now been removed and replaced, we welcome new team No Cup FC to the league as their replacement this week and wish them good luck going into their first fixture on Sunday 19th December.
The Premier Division remains as tight as ever at the top as six teams are separated by just three points in a very competitive league, as Cheeky Milandos remain top as they drew 1-1 with 3 Lions. Up The Tics 5-0 win sees them move to within a point of the leaders and ahead of Hardly Athletic who drop to third place following their 2-2 draw with Exeter Gently. Jack's Army rounded off the action with a 3-2 win over Misfits, moving them clear of the drop zone.
There is a new leader in Division One as The Purples ran out 5-0 winners this week, moving them above Yerrr on goal difference alone as they suffered their first defeat of the season, a 4-3 reverse against Extra Special Ones. Borussia Teeth remain on the periphery of the top two, they sit a point behind in third place following their 3-2 win over Rainbow Sparkles, whilst Muff Munchers and Dixy Pigeons could not be separated as they played out a goalless draw.
We wish all teams good luck going into the final matches of 2020 with Nuneaton's premier providers of small sided football.
