Sunday 15th September - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night, the only exception being Birdies Boys who return next week and Beduff Rangers who've been removed from the league with immediate effect as this was their second consecutive failure to attend.

On a positive note, we welcomed new teams to the league as Calm, The McCanns and Farcelona all played their first matches with us.  We wish all these good luck for the remainder of the campaign.

In the Premier League division, THE ALLIES FC clinched a narrow victory over Norfolk N Chance, with a final score of 2-1. The match was a display of grit and determination by both sides, but THE ALLIES FC managed to edge ahead, asserting their dominance in the top-tier division.

The Division 1 games brought their fair share of excitement. AFC Windmillons emerged victorious against Calm, winning by a 2-0 scoreline. In another encounter, NetSixAndChill toppled Borussia Teeth 4-2, showcasing their attacking prowess. An evenly contested match between Expected Toulouse and Pain In Dias ended in a 1-1 draw.

Britannia Draculas FC suffered a heavy 7-1 defeat at the hands of Hardly Athletic in a Division 2 fixture. Meanwhile, a well-fought match saw Pukka Chronics narrowly losing 2-1 to Imatch FC.

Division 3 saw the Extra Special Ones triumph over Blue Crown FC with a 3-0 scoreline, while EEFC managed to pull off a narrow 3-2 victory over Ricky Spanish FC. The Mushy Boys displayed a splendid performance, trouncing Rubbergently with a massive 5-0 win.

In Division 4, I Boomed Yamom In The Ash Fc cruised past Eric Bantona with a 5-0 victory. Rainbow Sparkles secured a 4-2 win over The McCanns, while Tuffnells FC earned a 4-1 victory against Farcelona.

The standout performers of the week were the top scorers of each division: The Allies FC in Premier League, NetSixAndChill in Division 1, Hardly Athletic in Division 2, The Mushy Boys in Division 3, and I Boomed Yamom In The Ash Fc in Division 4. As the season progresses, all eyes will be on these top-performing teams in anticipation of more riveting matches.

We wish all teams good luck going into the next round of fixtures with Nuneaton's premier providers of small sided football!
