Sunday 16th February - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

Overall it was a good evening's football in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday league with the only disappoinment being the non-attendances of Mass Debaters and Exeter Gently, both of which are due to return on Sunday 23rd February.

Please can we remind all teams that in the event you need to cancel a game on the day, that you contact Head Office on 0333 123 2340 rather than trying to contact me on social media to an account which is not monitored on a weekend.  We appreciate teams attempting to make contact with us but at a weekend it needs to be by telephone.  Head Office is open 12-6pm every Sunday.

In the two league matches that did take place in the Premier Division Sky Blues moved themselves into third place with a 3-1 win against Jacks Army whilst Inter YN climbed to fourth following a 4-0 win over rock bottom Cheeky Milandos.

Reiss' Set Pieces recorded their second 1-0 win in a row after they overcame Hardly Athletic this week to stay top of the table.  Slippery Gecko remain on their coat tails though as they also won this week, 3-1 their final score against Flash's Young Boys, that result moves them up to second coupled with Hardly losing.  Borussia Teeth moved up to fourth spot as they were 2-1 winners against Egg Fried Reus, whilst Dixy Pigeons and Extra Special Ones couldn't be separated as they played out a thrilling 3-3 draw.
