It was a good evening's football in the Nuneaton Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled, the only exceptions being EEFC and Netsix and Chill who both return as normal next week.
In the Premier League, THE ALLIES FC put on a football masterclass, defeating Hardly Athletic with an astonishing 6-2 victory. This win further solidifies their standing as the team to beat in the Premier League. The team's top scorer, whose identity remains undisclosed, gave a memorable performance, contributing significantly to the team's victory.
Division 1 saw a more evenly matched game with Blue Crown FC and Expected Toulouse battling it out to a 1-1 draw. Both teams showcased excellent teamplay and defensive tactics, resulting in the low-scoring but no less exciting match.
In Division 2, the match between Conkers FC and Tuffnells FC ended in a goalless draw, showcasing the defensive strength of both teams. However, Rubbergently emerged as the victors in their clash against Hinckley Athletic FC with a 4-1 win, and Ligmatip squeezed a 3-2 victory over Misfits in a closely fought battle.
The highlight of Division 3 was undoubtedly Ricky Spanish FC's spectacular 7-4 win over Salah-vation Army. Displaying a high-octane attack, Ricky Spanish FC built up a significant lead early in the game. Despite Salah-vation Army's best efforts, they couldn't bridge the goal difference.
Good luck to all teams going into game week 7 of the campaign with Nuneaton's premier providers of small sided football!
