It was another fantastic evening's football in the Nuneaton Sunday 6 a side league with all teams in attendance for their scheduled matches, including new team Six Offenders who played their first fixture with us in Division One, going down by a single goal to Dixy Pigeons.
Boogaloo stay top of the Premier Division and did so in style this week as they romped to a 10-0 win over bottom of the table Muff Munchers in an unforgiving performance. Jack's Army keep the pressure on at the top and remain a point off the summit as they recorded a 3-0 win over Hardly Athletic. Third placed Exeter Gently sit a point off second and just two off the top and recorded a narrow 1-0 win against Misfits, making it an exciting final three weeks of the campaign. Exeter have a massive two weeks coming up as they face both of the top two teams!
Cheeky Milandos came out on top in a five goal thriller as they met Up The Tics, running out 3-2 winners in an end to end encounter to wrap up the Premier Division action for the week.
In Division One all games were very tightly contested, as well as the single goal win for Dixy Pigeons mentioned above, Bedworth RFC climbed out of the bottom two with a win by the same scoreline over mid table Borussia Teeth. Hearty FC moved into second place as their efficient 2-0 win over Egg Fried Reus coupled with Extra Special Ones 2-2 draw against Fork and Barstools was enough to impact the standings.
We wish all teams good luck ahead of week 12's fixtures with Nuneaton's premier provider of small sided football.
