Sunday 17th October - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

Overall it was a good evening's football in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side league this week with all teams in attendance for their fixtures as scheduled, the only exception being Borussia Teeth who have been spoken to and confirmed their return on Sunday 24th October.

Misfits sit top of the Premier Division despite drawing their second consecutive game this week, they were involved in an entertaining 2-2 draw with Cheeky Milandos, whilst Hardly Athletic also sit on 4 points from a possible 6, as they were 2-1 victors over Egg Fried Reus.  Up The Tics moved up to fifth place as they also won by a 2-1 scoreline against Mike Oxard, whilst Exeter Gently and Jacks Army were involved in game of the night, as Exeter came out on top by a 4-3 scoreline.

Extra Special Ones were the big winners in Division One as they put Muff Munchers to the sword, by an unforgiving 7-1 scoreline, boosting their goal difference substantially in the process.  Yerrr remain the only unbeaten team in Division One and stay top of the pile too, as they shared the spoils with Sky Blues 87, in a game that finished 2 a piece.  Elsewhere Dixy Pigeons got their season moving with a 2-1 win over Rainbow Sparkles which sees them move off the foot of the table.
