Sunday 18th September - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

Overall it was a good evening's football in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled barring Yerrr who have now been removed from the league after having to cancel a lot in recent weeks.  We were also surprised to see No Cup FC failing to arrive, but will be in touch with their captain to confirm their return on Sunday 25th.

Dixy Pigeons have had a solid start to the season since being promoted to the Premier Division, they were 4-0 winners in their game against Gylfi's Young Boys this week, seeing them sit half way in the table after game week 5.  Jack's Army moved up a place to second after they shared the spoils with Double Pogba and Koke in a 1-1 draw.

Division One leaders Misfits got back to winning ways following last weeks draw, the leaders made it 4 wins from 5 as they edged a 9 goal thriller against The Invincibles whom they beat 5-4.  Second placed Sky Blue Army remain on the tails of the leaders as just two points separate them, they shared a point a piece in a 1-1 draw with Extra Special Ones.  Rainbow Sparkles moved up to third place in the league as they inflicted a second successive 5-0 defeat on Globo Gym Purple Cobras, whilst Egg Fried Reus now occupy fourth as they beat new boys Kroos Control by a 3-1 scoreline.
