Sunday 20th February - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was another good evening's football in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side league this week, which saw all teams in attendance braving the horrendous weather conditions, we thank all teams for their continued commitment.

3 Lions perfect start to the season extended into a fourth week in the Premier Division, as they edged past Yerrr by a 2-1 score line to stay at the summit.  Jack's Army moved into second place as they ran out comfortable 4-0 winners over Up The Tics, who were beaten for the second week running and have now dropped from second place to sixth in two weeks in an incredibly tight league table.  Borussia Teeth dropped to third place after suffering a 5-3 reverse at the hands of Exeter Gently, whilst Hardly Athletic got their first win of the season in the form of a 3-1 victory over bottom of the table Cheeky Milandos.

No Cup FC's domination of Division One continues, they put 9 past Extra Special Ones this week who got one in reply, they've now scored 43 goals in just four games!  The Purples remain in second place following their 4-2 win over Slide Into Your EDM's.  Misfits recovered from last weeks mauling to run out 3-0 winners over Rainbow Sparkles to remain in third position, whilst Egg Fried Reus and Dixy Pigeons couldn't be separated in a game that ended goalless as both sit in mid-table.
