Sunday 21st January - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side league this week overall, with all teams in attendance for their matches throughout the night as scheduled, the only exception to this being Tekkerslovakia for a second consecutive week, they have now been removed from the league.

On a positive note, we welcome new team Rooney Tunes as a replacement for the above, and wish these good luck going into their debut game on Sunday 28th January, keeping the league full!

In the Premier League, FC Positivity clinched a hard-fought victory against Jack's Army, edging out their rivals 2-1 in a tense match. Meanwhile, Gylfis Young Boys and Misfits served up a seven-goal thriller, with Misfits narrowly emerging victorious with a final score of 4-3. The final game saw Wanyamas In Pyjamas clinching a 3-2 win over THE ALLIES FC.

Over in Division 1, Dixy Pigeons showed their might with a 6-3 triumph over Hardly Athletic, while Murder On Zidanes Floor claimed an impressive 4-0 victory against Extra Special Ones.

Beduff Rangers took the lead in Division 2 with a 3-2 win over Eric Bantona, while Borussia Teeth dominated Kevos Kids with a stunning 7-0 result. Pain In Dias also secured a 4-0 victory against Ricky Spanish FC.

In the Division 3 matchups, AFC Windmilldons and Birdies Boys both secured win to nil, defeating EEFC and Kroos Control FC 4-0 and 5-0 respectively. The Griddlers edged out NetSixAndChill with a 2-1 win.

Finally, in Division 4, Blue Crown FC outplayed Rainbow Sparkles winning 5-1, while Real Sosobad narrowly beat debutants Lads On Toure 2-1 and Set 8 overcame Tuffnells FC with a 3-2 result.
