Sunday 24th March - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up
It was a good evening's football overall in the Nuneaton Sunday 6 a side league this week, with the new season kicking off and some well competed matches played.
In the Premier League division, Wanyamas In Pyjamas dominated Ball Of Duty with a staggering 8 - 0 victory, proving themselves as the team to watch this season. Meanwhile, THE ALLIES FC also scored an impressive win against Jack's Army with a score of 6 - 0. Norfolk N Chance edged out Murder On Zidanes Floor with a tight 1 - 0 victory.
Division 1 saw Pain In Dias narrowly clinching a 1 - 0 victory against Borussia Teeth. Misfits bested Dixy Pigeons 3 - 1, while Gylfis Young Boys won a thrilling match against Extra Special Ones with a score of 6 - 4.
In Division 2, Birdies Boys made a spectacular statement with a crushing 9 - 0 win over Rubbergently. Division 3 witnessed tough matches, with Zulu Warriors defeating Eric Bantona 2 - 1, NetSixAndChill triumphing over The Griddlers 3 - 0, and Set 8 beating Ricky Spanish FC 3 - 1.
Finally, Division 4 saw a high scoring match between Real Sosobad and EEFC, ending in a 6 - 4 victory for the latter. Tuffnells FC fell to Blue Crown FC 2 - 5, while Rainbow Sparkles lost to Kroos Control FC, 0 - 2.
