Sunday 26th May - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side league this week overall, with all teams in attendance for their matches across all divisions, barring The Allies and IMatch who gave 7 days notice due to the Bank Holiday weekend, but return on Sunday 2nd June.

We are pleased to welcome new team Vanillas and One Chocolate to the league on Sunday 2nd June, they replace the outgoing Wanyamas In Pyjamas, and we wish these good luck in their debut game.


In the Premier League, Norfolk N Chance made their mark with a decisive 4-1 victory over Kingsmill 50-50. This win reaffirmed their dominating presence in the league. The second match saw Wanyamas In Pyjamas narrowly edging out Jack's Army with a 2-1 win, keeping their hopes of a top table finish alive.


The Division 1 witnessed a thrilling match as Misfits faced a 5-2 defeat at the hands of the Extra Special Ones. Despite their best efforts, Pain In Dias fell short in a seven-goal thriller against Expected Toulouse, ending in a 4-3 loss.


Moving on to Division 2, a deadlock was reached between AFC Windmilldons and Pukka Chronics with the match ending in a 1-1 draw. Meanwhile, Rubbergently and Kevos Kids fought hard but couldn't break the ice, resulting in a goalless draw.


In Division 3, Remdog United emerged victorious with a 4-3 win over Ricky Spanish FC in a tense match. The match between Hardly Athletic and NetSixAndChill was an intense affair, with NetSixAndChill emerging as the victor with a score of 4-2.


Finally, in Division 4, Blue Crown FC claimed a convincing 3-0 victory over Rainbow Sparkles, while EEFC dominated Tuffnells FC, trouncing them with a remarkable 11-1 win.


Good luck to all teams going into the final round of this season's fixtures with Nuneaton's premier providers of small sided football.  The new season will kick off as normal on Sunday 9th June.
