Sunday 27th June - Nuneaton Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Nuneaton Sunday 6 a side league once again this week with all teams in attendance for their scheduled fixtures, barring Dixy Pigeons who had given 7 days notice to cancel but return to action on Sunday 4th July!

Jacks Army followed up last weeks 5-0 win with a 4-0 win this week as they eased past Hardly Athletic.  Mike Oxard picked up a second straight in their first full season with us, as they ran out 3-1 winners over previous champions Exeter Gently.  Misfits remain unbeaten so far this season, they followed up last weeks draw with a 2-0 victory against Up The Tics.  We also welcomed new team Rainbow Sparkles to the league this week, they were beaten 4-1 by The Purples in their debut game and will be looking to build on this result next week.

Fork and Barstools sit in second place at the early knockings of the season, they were impressive 3-0 winners in their game against Muff Munchers this week.  Elsewhere Egg Fried Reus ran out 3-2 winners in a thrilling match against Cheeky Milandos to pick up their first points of the campaign.  Extra Special Ones also got their first win of the season under their belt as they recorded a single goal victory over Borussia Teeth.
