Sunday 2nd October - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled, barring Double Pogba and Koke who will be spoken to accordingly to confirm their return on Sunday 9th October.

We welcomed new team Wanyama's In Pyjamas to the action this week and they put in a good performance on their league debut as they were beaten by Dixy Pigeons by a 3-1 scoreline as they gave the second placed team a tough run out.

Leaders The Allies made it 7 wins on the spin as they comfortably beat Gylfi's Young Boys by a 4-2 scoreline.  Third placed Jack's Army also won by the same scoreline in an impressive performance in which they overcame No Cup FC.

Division One leaders Misfits won a nine goal thriller against Extra Special Ones by a 5-4 scoreline.  Second placed Sky Blue Army keep pace the best they can as they remain three points off the leaders following their 2-0 win against Kroos Control.  Rainbow Sparkles moved up a place to third as they edged past a stubborn Egg Fried Reus side by a 1-0 scoreline, whilst The Invincibles sit mid-table after an impressive 5-0 victory over Globogym.
