Sunday 31st October - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was another good evening's football in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side league this week, which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night and some entertaining football on display across both divisions. 

We welcomed new team 3 Lions to the Premier Division this week, not daunted by the fact they were starting in the top league they put in an impressive performance, grabbing a point to start life in the league with a 3-3 draw against Jack's Army.

It looks like it is going to be another tight campaign this season as the Premier Division sees 4 teams separated by just two points.  Exeter Gently are the new leaders this week as their 2-2 draw with Cheeky Milandos was enough to put them at the summit, as Misfits suffered a 2-0 defeat to Egg Fried Reus to drop them to third.  Hardly Athletic now occupy second spot, also moving above Misfits after they ran out 1-0 winners against Up The Tics.

Yerrr continue to lead the way in Division One, despite a goalless draw against Borussia Teeth this week, who move into second place with this result, coupled with Extra Special Ones 2-1 win over The Purples.  Dixy Pigeons remain in the bottom two but recorded their second win of the campaign this week, as they were 2-1 winners over Sky Blues 87, whilst Rainbow Sparkles were in 'sparkling' form in front of goal this week with a 5-1 victory against Muff Munchers.
