Sunday 6th February - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was another excellent evening's action in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance once again and some excellent games played across both divisions with plenty of goals to boot!

3 Lions followed up last weeks rampant win with another impressive result this week, as they comfortably beat last seasons Runners-Up Exeter Gently by a 3-0 score line.  Up The Tics sit in second after their second win in succession, they were 1-0 victors over last season's Division One winners Yerrrr.  Other promoted team Borussia Teeth got their season up and running with an impressive 4-0 victory against Cheeky Milandos.  Hardly Athletic recovered from last weeks 11-0 thrashing as they got a 2-2 draw against Jack's Army to complete the Premier Division action.

No Cup FC look as though they're going to go for a trophy this season as they followed up an 8-2 win last week with a 10 goal haul without reply this week against Slide Into Your EDM's.  The Purples also look impressive as they scored 5 goals for the second week running, this week they brushed aside Rainbow Sparkles by a 5-1 score line.  Misfits moved into third place as they shared the spoils with Dixy Pigeons in a game that ended 2-2, whilst Egg Fried Reus got their season up and running, grabbing their first win of the campaign since relegation, they were 2-1 victors against Extra Special Ones this week in a hard fought performance.
