Sunday 8th August - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side league overall this week with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled, barring cancellations from Bedworth RFC and The Purples on the day, and Extra Special Ones who gave 7 days notice.  All three return on Sunday 15th August.

Misfits suffered a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Exeter Gently in a surprise result, Misfits remain at the top of the table but their lead has dwindled and it is now just goal difference seeing them remain ahead of Mike Oxard who were 4-1 winners against Hardly Athletic.

In Division One Bedworth dropped out of the top two after forfeiting this week.  Egg Fried Reus moved into second place after a convincing performance in which they ran out 3-0 winners over Dixy Pigeons.  Fork and Barstools moved into mid-table with a 2-0 win against Borussia Teeth.
