Sunday 9th February - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up
Overall it was a good evening's football in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side league with all teams in attendance in testing weather conditions.
Boogaloo FC went to the top of the Premier Division with a convincing 4-0 win over Misfits, who drop to third and suffered their first dropped points since promotion. Mass Debaters also suffered defeat as they were beaten 2-1 by Sky Blues to drop to second place. Champions Exeter Gently won their first match of the campaign after a poor start, they were 6-3 winners over Inter YN in an entertaining match, whilst Jack's Army and Cheeky Milando's shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw, the latter picking up their first point of the season.
In Division One, Reiss' Set Pieces perfect start to the campaign continued this week, they were 1-0 winners against Borussia Teeth this week to sit on 6 points from their opening three games! Hardly Athletic dropped to second place after a 3-1 reverse against Slippery Gecko who move up to third, whilst Egg Fried Reus went fourth after they won by the same scoreline against Extra Special Ones. In the battle of the bottom two, there was nothing to choose as Flash's Young Boys and Dixy Pigeons drew 1-1, both registering their first point of the campaign, but both staying in the bottom two.
