Sunday 9th February - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was a good evening's football overall in the Nuneaton Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches barring a couple.  We welcome back Netsix and Chill and Kroos Control next week, and have removed Eric Bantona from the league with immediate effect.

In the Premier League, Norfolk N Chance secured a clean 2-0 win over EEFC, setting the bar high right at the onset of the season. Meanwhile, THE ALLIES FC dominated the field with a 5-1 victory over Hardly Athletic, marking a decisive start to their campaign.

The Division 1 matches were equally exhilarating. Expected Toulouse trounced Blue Crown FC 3-0 in a thrilling contest. In an edge-of-the-seat match, Gylfis Young Boys emerged victorious over Lads On Toure with a 5-3 scoreline. Challenged FC and Borussia Teeth ended in a 2-2 draw in a nail-biting match.

Moving on to Division 2, Conkers FC managed a narrow 3-2 win over Tuffnells FC, whilst Misfits edged out Ligmatip in an equally closely contested match, with the same scoreline. Rubbergently seized a 2-0 victory over Hinckley Athletic FC, adding spice to the division’s competition.

Finally, in Division 3, Ricky Spanish FC came from behind to triumph over Salah-vation Army with an impressive 6-3 win.

We wish all teams good luck going into game week 2 of the season with Nuneaton's premier providers of small sided football!
