It was an excellent evening's football in the Walsall Monday 6 a side league this week at Oak Park, which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled, including new teams Undateables and Ji Sung Chen in Division's One and Two respectively!
We are delighted to welcome another new team to the league on Monday 21st March, and wish Gunner Beat You the best of luck going into their debut game.
The Warts lead the way in the Premier Division as they ran out comfortable 3-0 winners over Edwards Allstars, as they look to seal their first title in a long time, but there is a long way to go yet! Elsewhere, No Fuchs Given have moved up to fourth place as they continue their rich vein of form, they were 6-0 winners against Langers FC this week. RGP will be delighted with their efforts this week as they held fifth placed Budgie Neck to a 3-3 draw in an entertaining encounter!
In Division One, Psycho Dean's Australian Army dropped points for only the second time this campaign, as the new boys Undateables gave them a real test, drawing 3-3 at full time! Second placed Dijk In Dias now sit two points off the leaders after a 5-0 win this week, whilst third placed Balotellitubbies lost ground on the promotion places, suffering a humbling 6-2 defeat to Shelfield Wednesday. Last Chance U inflicted a heavy 8-0 defeat on Croft VI this week as they drop to sixth place, whilst Pique Blinders continue to improve, hammering Blakenallontour by 9 goals to 2 this week!
Fat and Furious are in incredible form this season, they have averaged 7.3 goals a game in the first ten, this week racking up an 11-0 win over OK who are usually defensively solid! Beercelona continue to keep pace as best as they can though, a 9-2 win over Mike Shamoley sees them three points off the leaders in second place, whilst third placed Vegas Degenerates were 3-1 winners over new boys Ji Sung Chen, with Exeter Gently dropping to fourth after a disappointing 5-0 defeat to Class on Grass. Tea and Busquets completed the action as they were solid 3-0 winners against Ball of Duty.
We are delighted to see the league full to capacity again and wish all teams good luck going into the next round of fixtures with Walsall's premier providers of small sided football!
