Monday 16th January - Walsall Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Walsall Monday 6 a side league once again this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches throughout the night across all four divisions and some excellent football played.

Premier Division leaders Budgie Neck continue to lead the way by 2 points as the games run out, they were made to work hard for the points this week though as WillianDiaz pushed them all the way, 6-4 the final score.  Stroke Titty remain on the tails of the leaders just in case of a slip up, they were comfortable 3-0 winners over Last Chance U, whilst the bottom two met and Unathletico Madrid got their first point of the campaign, they drew 3-3 with Vegas Degenerates in a well competed game.

In Division One it seems nobody wants to get promoted!  The top two suffered defeats this week as leaders Undateable FC were beaten 4-3 by Chris Ning, whilst second placed Wiggins Tiny Pinner were thrashed 7-0 by Shelfield Wednesday.  Dijk In Dias won an entertaining game against Hong Kong Vesey by 4 goals to 3 as five of the six teams in the division could either be promoted or relegated with two to play!

Euro Anchor FC moved to the top of Division Two this week with a superb performance as they trounced Tea and Busquets by 6 goals to 1, moving them above Langers who slipped to second after a 5-3 defeat to Duke of York!  Save Shanes Turtle moved back to third in another tight division as they followed up two defeats with a thrilling 6-6 draw against Balotellitubbies.  

Dad Bods eighth win in a row came this week as they brushed aside Six Offenders by 6 goals to 2, whilst Arbo FC got a big result in the battle for second place as they drew level on points with InterYaNanny who they beat 3-2.  Beercelona completed the action as they ran out 4-1 winners over Croft VI in a convincing performance.
