It was another good evening's football in the Walsall Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled barring late cancellations from Expected Toulouse and Beercelona who we thank for contacting us and look forward to seeing return next week.
The Premier Division is set for a mouth watering climax next week as Four Crosses and The Warts go into the final game of the season two points apart, Four Crosses have the points advantage but a win for the Warts could change all of that as the goal difference is close. Four Crosses bagged a 7-5 win over Bag of Chips this week in what was an entertaining encounter.
Division One leaders Psycho Dean's Australian Army keep up the performance levels despite already being confirmed champions, they were 6-1 winners over The Balotellitubbies this week, whilst the battle for second place took a big twist this week, as Pique Blinders moved into the last promotion spot following a thrilling 6-5 win over Last Chance U, and Dijk In Dias suffered a 3-2 reverse against Undateable FC who move out of the drop zone with that result. Shelfield Wednesday won 5-2 against Croft VI to move off the foot of the table at their opponents expense, but it is two from three that could go down on the final week of the season as they are separated by just one point!
Fat and Furious dropped points for only the second time this season in a game which had an end of season feel about it, as the champions shared the spoils with Ball of Duty in a thrilling 6-6 draw! Vegas Degenerates moved into second place with a 5-0 walkover against Beercelona, whilst Exeter Gently dropped to third as they suffered a 2-1 reverse against Tea and Busquets. It promises to be an exciting final game in Division Two as any one of four teams could take the final promotion place!
We look forward to seeing all teams in attendance for the last matches of the season with Walsall's premier providers of small sided football!
