Monday 20th January - Walsall Round-Up

It was a fantastic evening's football in the Walsall Monday 6 a side league this week overall with all teams in attendance except Doofa Crew who unfortunately read the wrong fixture time on the website.  They will be back to normal on Monday 27th January.

Expected Toulouse's incredible campaign continued this week as they made it 12 wins in a row, thrashing Monday Nighters 7-1 this week.  Rude Van Nipplejoy look as though second is the best they can hope for at this stage of the season as they're 6 points off the summit.  However, they did what was needed this week and beat Sex Drugs and Carlton Cole 5-1.  Other action in the top league saw Soccer Cleats edge past John Beans by 2 goals to 1 in a closely contested game, whilst Leavemaarselona and Fold Beef played out a 1-1 draw.

In Division One, Botty Dem remain top of the table following their 1-1 draw with Celsius, but saw their lead cut to a single point following Pelsall Sevilla's 11-1 thrashing of new team Michu At De Gea Ba.  Walsall Wood FC moved up to third place after they defeated Moggy's Mountaineers 3-1, whilst there were two more big scorelines as Chicken Tikka Taka thrashed Cesc on the Beach 11-0 and new team Unfounded suffered an 8-0 defeat at the hands of Beercelona.

Two big results at the top of Division Two this week as Vegas Degenerates lost their place at the top following their 4-2 defeat by No Fuchs Given.  Balotellitubbies won a 10 goal thriller 6-4 against You Blaady FC to take full advantage and move to the summit.  Third placed Arbo FC are determined not to let the top two run away with it, and won 4-2 against Chungz Army to move to within 4 points of second, as they hope to have a say in the promotion race.
