Monday 23rd January - Walsall Oak Park Round-Up

It was another good evening's football in the Walsall Monday 6 a side league this week with all teams in attendance for the penultimate round of fixtures for the campaign, and some closely competed games played across the four divisions.

Premier Division leaders Budgie Neck need one more point to seal the title after they were 4-1 winners over Last Chance U this week, whilst second placed Stroke Titty keep digging in there as they were 4-0 winners over Unathetico Madrid.  WillianDiaz moved back to third place with an impressive 3-1 win over Vegas Degenerates.

A 1-0 win for Undateable FC puts them in the driving seat for back to back promotions as they edged past Shelfield Wednesday meaning another point next week will seal the deal.  Hong Kong Vesey look handily placed after a 2-0 win over Wiggins sees them leapfrog the opponents in the division, whilst Chris Ning were 3-2 winners of an entertaining encounter against Dijk In DIas as their impressive start to life in the league continues.

Langers went back top of Division Two with a game to go as they got back to winning ways with a 4-1 victory against Balotellitubbies, whilst Euro Anchor suffered a humbling 10-3 defeat against an ever impressive Duke of York who claimed their fourth win on the bounce since joining, their third double figure haul out of them four.  Save Shane's Turtle had to settle for a point against Tea and Busquets in an end to end game which ended 4 apiece.

Dad Bods quest for a perfect season in Division Three looks ever likely, their ninth win on the spin was a close encounter though as they edged past Inter Ya Nanny 2-1, a result which allowed Arbo FC into second place after they drew 2-2 with Beercelona.  Completing the action was Six Offenders who won a 12 goal thriller against Croft VI by 8 goals to 4.

We wish all teams good luck going into the final game of the season with Walsall's premier providers of small sided football.
