Monday 25th October - Walsall Round-Up

It was another excellent evening's football in the Walsall Monday 6 a side league at Oak Park, with all teams in attendance for their fixtures throughout the night and some entertaining matches played across all three divisions.

Expected Toulouse were in rampant form this week as they put a whopping 10 without reply past Soccer Cleats to keep their place at the summit, and hugely boost their goal difference in the process.  In the meeting of 3rd v 4th place Stroke Titty ran out 3-2 winners v Budgie Neck in a fantastic match in which Budgie Neck put in a spirited performance, fighting back from 3 goals down to nearly steal a point.

Psycho Dean's Australian Army picked up a second straight win as they get to grips with the league, this week running out 4-1 winners over Real Sosobad in an impressive performance, whilst The Warts edged past another one of the new teams Gangsters Allardyce, a high quality game between the two ending 2-1 to The Warts.

In Division One, No Fuchs Given made it a perfect ten this week as their 100% record continued into the tenth match of the season.  They were convincing 7-2 winners against Class on Grass this week.  Langers FC dropped to third place after a surprise 4-1 defeat to new team Dijk in Dias.  Elsewhere Hong Kong Vesey move up to fourth spot in the table as they ran out winners by a 4-0 scoreline against Rushall Rovers.

Division Two leaders Beercelona march on and signifcantly boosted their goal difference this week with a 9-1 thrashing of Exeter Gently.  Second placed Shelfield Wednesday sit level on points with top and recorded a 5-2 win over Vegas Degenerates this week as they keep the pressure on the leaders.  Third placed West Norwich Albion sealed a seventh straight win as their incredible run of form continued with a 4-0 victory over OK.
