It was another fantastic evening's football in the Walsall Oak Park Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled and some well competed games played throughout the night.
Smoke FC made it 8 wins in a row and did so with a 9-0 scoreline as they thrashed Undateable FC out of sight. Stroke Titty moved up to second place but were pushed all the way by Shindu's Hairy Toe, an eleven goal thriller which Stroke eventually took 6-5, whilst Last Chance dropped to third place after having to settle for a point in a cracker of a game against Dennis' Disciples ended 4-4.
The top two in Division One continue to slug it out for the title as both won again this week. Duke of York thrashed Shelfield Wednesday 8-2 to boost their goal difference even further, whilst Euro Anchor were 5-1 winners against Hong Kong Vesey to stay level on points. The two meet next week in what promises to be the title decider, a must win for Euro Anchor though as Duke of York's GD gives them effectively another point. Third placed Langers wrapped up the divisions action with a 6-1 thrashing of Road to Relegation.
Division Two leaders Dijk In Dias show no let up despite having already sealed the title. They romped to an 8-0 win over InterYaNanny who drop nearer the relegation zone at a bad time. Vegas Degenerates now occupy the second promotion place as they beat Save Shanes Turtle by a convincing 5-2 scoreline, whilst Dad Bods are still in with a chance of promotion after they also won 5-2 against Tea and Busquets.
Beercelona's perfect season continues into the last two weeks of the season, they cruised past Croft VI 4-1, whilst Arbo look to have sealed promotion after beating third placed Balotellitubbies 3-1 in a disciplined performance. Six Offenders completed the action with a 3-0 win over Unathletico Madrid who they move above in the table.
We thank all teams for their continued reliability and commitment to the league and wish all good luck going into the next round of fixtures with Walsall's premier providers of small sided football.
