Monday 28th March - Walsall Round-Up

It was another good evening's football in the Walsall Oak Park Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled, the only exception being a late cancellation from Budgie Neck who we thank for contacting us, and look forward to seeing return on Monday 4th April.

Expected Toulouse scored double figures for the second game in a row, and third time in five, as they thrashed No Fuchs Given by a 10-1 scoreline, although they remain in second place, they are building up a healthy goal difference which could be crucial in the title run in.  Four Crosses remain in third place and although they won, were involved in an entertaining game against new boys Gangsters Allardyce, 7-3 the final score in a high energy game.  RGP continue their improvement and were convincing 8-1 winners over Gunner Beat You.

Psycho Dean's lead at the top of Division One extends to six points after this week, after they were 2-0 winners against Hong Kong Vesey, with second placed Dijk In Dias stuttering badly of late, after suffering their fourth defeat in five after Blakenallontour beat them by the same scoreline.  Last Chance U now sit in third place, leapfrogging Balotellitubbies after romping to a 13-6 win over them this week in an absolute goal fest!

Other action saw Pique Blinders continue their recent improvement, they now sit sixth after a thrilling 4-3 win over Croft VI who've now lost seven on the spin, whilst new boys Undateables look a useful addition to the league as they thrashed Shelfield Wednesday by an 8-1 scoreline.

In Division Two, Fat and Furious made no exceptions with their recent scintillating form, even second placed Beercelona were no match after they were thrashed 6-0 by the leaders who could break records for goals scored in a season if they continue at this rate!

Exeter Gently moved to within a point of second place after coming out on top in a seven goal thriller in which they beat Mike Shamoley 4-3.  Tea and Busquets moved up to fourth following a 4-1 win over Class on Grass, ahead of Vegas Degenerates who were held to a 5-5 draw by OK in an excellent game.  Ji Sung Chen rounded off the action, picking up their first win since joining, as they were 3-1 winners against Ball of Duty.

We wish all teams good luck going into game week 13 with Walsall's premier providers of small sided football!
