Monday 31st January - Walsall Round-Up

It was a good evening's football overall in the Walsall Monday 6 a side league at Oak Park this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled, barring a late cancellation from Budgie Neck who return to action next week.  We have also removed Neuer Gonna Give You Up from the league after they failed to attend without notification.

Four teams are tied on 6 points after this weeks action in the Premier Division, showing the season is looking like being a cracker.  Expected Toulouse suffered their first league defeat in over 12 months this week, as Walsall Arms beat them 3-2 in a cracking match which really opens things up.  Chase FC moved to the top of the table on goal difference in an 8-3 win over The Warts, who drop to fourth place but are one of the quartet level on points!  Four Crosses were beaten 6-4 by Corn Swingers in a classic encounter as both teams look to be a superb addition to the division, whilst No Fuchs Given got their season off and running with an impressive 5-1 victory over Langers who are still searching for their first point since promotion.

In Division One, Dijk In Dias continue their 100% start to the campaign as they registered their fourth win on the spin, they beat recently promoted Shelfield Wednesday 4-1 as the new boys to the division's search for their first win goes on.  Psycho Dean's Australian Army moved into second place as they won their third game in four, this week by a 5-2 score line over Class on Grass who remain pointless so far.  Croft VI dropped to third after losing out to Balotellitubbies in a thrilling encounter which ended 6-5!  Another thrilling encounter took place with Last Chance U running out 5-4 victors in their match against Hong Kong Vesey in a night of goals.

Fat and Furious' relentless form continued this week in Division Two as they put ten without reply past Stella Courtois, they've now scored 31 goals in just four matches!  Vegas Degenerates moved up to second place and leapfrogged Beercelona in the process whom they beat by a 4-1 score line this week.  Tea and Busquets moved level on points with fourth placed Exeter Gently who were beaten for the first time this term as Busquets were 4-2 winners.  OK put in a solid performance against Pique Blinders this week, picking up a single goal victory to win their second game in succession.

We are delighted to welcome new team Pelsall Trojans to Division One this week, and wish these good luck going into their first fixture against The Balotellitubbies.
