It was a good evening's football in the Walsall Monday 6 a side league this week overall, with all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled and some well competed matches played throughout the night, the only exception to this was a cancellation from Tchoumani Men who return to action on Monday 13th.
The top two in the Premier Division met, and it was Budgie Neck who triumphed, they put themselves four points clear of Last Chance U as they ran out 9-4 winners in a thriller of a match! New team Shindus Hairy Toe played their first fixture with us this week and look a decent addition as they got a point on their first outing, sharing a 4-4 draw with Undateable FC.
Euro Anchor lead Division One with a 5 star record so far after game week 5, there is always plenty of goals in their games though and this week was no different, they triumphed 4-2 over bottom team Williandiaz. Duke of York got back to winning ways this week and picked up an impressive 6-2 win over Langers in a game that was closer than the score would suggest. Elsewhere Hong Kong Vesey leapfrogged Shelfield Wednesday in the table after claiming a 7-3 win over them.
Dijk In Dias are crushing it in Division Two so far this season, they claimed a 7-3 win over Vegas Degenerates taking them to 30 goals scored so far as their perfect record continues. Inter Ya Nanny stay second but played a somewhat closer game against Tea and Busquets in which they came out 2-1 winners. Elsewhere, special mention to Dad Bods who were in rampant form in front of goal, thrashing a usually organised Save Shane's Turtle 13-1 as they look to get back into the promotion race.
Beercelona are running away with it at the halfway point of the season, their fifth win in a row was a 6-2 triumph over Unathletico Madrid, they are now five points clear of second placed Arbo FC who shared a point with Six Offenders in a 5-5 draw! Balotellitubbies and Croft VI focussed solely on outscoring eachother this week, and it was Balotelli who succeeded, running out 7-6 winners in a crazy game of football!
