It was another good evening's football in the Walsall Sunday 6 a side league this week with all 8 teams in attendance for their games and plenty of goals scored on an entertaining night!
Leaders The Purple Helmets continued their rich vein of form with a clinical second half showing after being goalless at half time. An early second half goal got the ball rolling as they eventually claimed a 4-0 win over Reus and Peas.
Second placed Odegaardians of the Galaxy had to dig deep this week as they were matched for most of the game by Shithouse FC, the second placed team eventually claimed a 5-3 win to stay within a point of the summit.
Third placed Leave My Arcelona also looked clinical in front of goal this week as they raced to a 5-0 lead at half time, an improved second half from Hardly left it a bit late though as the game ended 7-2 with a clinical Sean Trentham claiming five of the goals.
Completing the action sees a special mention to Sporting Stonnall who hadn't scored a goal prior to this week, they came from 2-0 down at half time to run out 6-4 winners in a thriller of a game!
We thank all teams for their continued commitment and reliability towards the league and look forward to seeing all in attendance for game week 7 with Walsall's premier small sided football providers!
