Sunday 22nd September - Walsall Round-Up

It was a fantastic start to the new campaign in the Walsall Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams attending and braving the horrendous weather conditions to get the season underway, and it promises to be a exciting season ahead with some quality matches played.

Gangsters Allardyce and Odegaardians Of The Galaxy made a commanding start to their campaign with resounding victories in their first matches. Gangsters Allardyce set the bar high in their season-opening match against TenpinTuesdaysFC, with an emphatic 5-0 victory. Odegaardians Of The Galaxy, not far behind, echoed a similar performance, decimating Sparkle Em with a 5-1 scoreline.

However, the highlight of the evening was the downright dominant performance by Misfits FC who took the game away from Bradbury Park Rangers with a staggering 8-3 win. The fireworks on the field by Misfits FC has already set the stage for what promises to be an exciting season.

In this first week, it was the attacking prowess of these teams that took centre stage. Their offensive play and the sheer number of goals scored by Gangsters Allardyce, Odegaardians Of The Galaxy, and Misfits FC have set the tone for the season, making them early contenders for the top spots in the Premier League division.
