It was a fantastic return to action for 2023 in the Walsall Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled as the league moved to Oak Park for the new year due to the floodlight issues we were having at our previous facility.
League leaders The Purple Helmets were made to work for their fourth win on the spin this week as they came up against a stubborn Leave My Arcelona, an early goal was the difference between the two in a match that ended 1-0.
Second placed Anonymous FC were in fine form this week as they were 3-1 winners over Hardly Athletic in a well drilled performance, they remain a point off the leaders.
Big Slice benefited from some new additions this week as they won an entertaining encounter as they were 5-3 victors against Reus and Peas in another well competed game.
Completing the action was Shithouse FC who claimed their first win of the season in the battle of the winless teams, they overcame Sporting Stonnall by a 2-0 scoreline in another close game.
We are delighted to see the league running so smoothly at present and look forward to the continuation at Oak Park.
If you have any queries regarding the league at any point, you can contact Shaun at Head Office on 0333 123 2340.
