Thursday 19th January - Walsall Round-Up

It was another excellent evening's football in the Walsall Thursday 6 a side league at Oak Park this week, which saw all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled.

Last season's top two teams met in game week 2 and it was a six goal thriller in which both Unprotected Cesc and Stroke Titty had to settle for a point apiece in a game that ended 3-3 with some high quality football played.

Dennis' Disciples put last weeks woes behind them as they romped to a 6-2 victory over Bryan Munich in a superb performance in front of goal, a brilliant performance from Dennis' keeper stopped the game looking a lot different.

Elsewhere Pique Blinders came from a goal down to come back and claim a 2-1 win over Dude Where's My Ladders in a tightly competed game, claiming their second win on the spin since joining.

We are delighted to welcome new team Me Mons FC to the league on Thursday 26th January, filling the final vacancy in the league.   We wish these good luck in their debut game!
