Play in the Telford Sunday football league powered by Leisure Leagues
In the latest round of the Telford Sunday 6 Aside Football League, the Premier League division produced a series of engaging and competitive matches that had spectators on the edge of their seats.
To kick off the evening, in a closely contested match, Hardly Learning FC edged out Brexit Beautys with a 2-1 victory. In a back and forth match, goals from Connor and Kim gave Hardly a hard-fought victory with Will replying for Brexit.
The action didn't stop there as second placed Colonels faced off against league leaders Rowdy FC, with the latter emerging victorious in a 4-2 win. Top scorer Callum Knowles bagged two goals for Rowdy FC as he continued his charge towards the golden boot with Lee and Malachi adding to their score. Colonels responded through goals from Harvey and Denzel and also missed a number of other opportunities to make the scoreline much closer. The result leaves Rowdy FC with clear breathing space at the top as they look to secure a second league title.
AUFC got back to winning ways with a dominant 4-0 victory over Inter the Pub. Goals from Kieran, Jake and double for Jonas secured the victory for their side. Inter the Pub had their chances but could not get on the score sheet on this occasion.
Finishing off week 10 was the match between Albrighton CC and Tea And Busquets which ended in a decisive 5-1 victory for Tea And Busquets. The Busquet Men continued their upsurge in form as braces from Jake and Adam and a long range belter from Ben gave them an impressive win. Albrighton scored a reply through Ben but could not match their opponent on the night.
The Telford Sunday 6 Aside Football League continues to deliver thrilling and high-quality football, and we are already eagerly anticipating the next round of matches in the Premier League division.
