In a thrilling week of 6-a-side football, the Telford Sunday League saw impressive performances from a number of teams in both the Premier League and Division 1.
In the Premier League, the match of the week was between Hardly Learning FC and UNATHLETIC BILBAO. It was a fiercely contested affair with goals raining in from the off. BILBAO emerged victorious with a 6 3 victory thanks in no small part to a hat-trick from the impressive Marcel. His performance was a masterclass in skill and precise finishing. Further goals from Ben and a double from Brad secured the victory with Andy and Ethan x 2 grabbing the goals for Hardly.
Over in Division 1, there were a number of high-scoring games. Inter The Pub and The Ercall Ultras played a tightly contested match, with Inter The Pub deservedly edging it 4-3. Two terrific goals from Andrew and further strikes from Ben and Cal gave them a much needed win. Ercall scored their goals through Lucas and a double from Sam but came up just short in this one.
Meanwhile, The Dogs Ballacks put on a stunning display against Pretty In Pink, winning 7-3. It was an important response to their disappointing defeat against Real Estates last week. The star of the show was Joshua Pritchard, who scored an impressive four goals. Additional strikes from Sloane and Collins x2 added gloss to the scoreline. Joe, Brad and Ryan replied for Pretty in Pink who couldn't quite match their opponents on the day.
Elsewhere, Tea And Busquets outplayed league leaders Real Estates with a 3-1 victory to continue their upsurge in form. Goals from Tom, Adam and the dangerous Callum were enough to give them a comfortable victory. Sean replied for Real Estates, who were missing a couple of key players this week.
After 4 games we have a 3 way tie at the top of the Premier League with Polonia, Rowdy and Bilbao all in the mix.In Division 1, Real Estates sit top of the league alongside Dogs Ballacks.
