More Terrific Action at Telford Sunday 6-a-side League

The Telford Sunday 6-a-side League served up another thrilling week of competitive competition, as rival sides clashed in Week 5 of the season. 

In the Premier League, Rowdy FC showcased a dominant performance against Blocko FC, delivering an 8-1 thrashing. Hatricks from Matteo and Lee along with a double from captain Marco secured another convincing win for the current champions with Jack replying for Blocko.

Second placed POLONIA TELFORD FC also asserted their dominance with a clean sweep against The Bailiffs FC, ending the game with a 4-0 scoreline. Another double from leading scorer Marcin K and goals from Michal and Thomas ensured their side kept up the pressure on leaders Rowdy FC.

Meanwhile, the Division 1 games were equally dramatic. Tea And Busquets battled Sunday Sixes to a 1-1 draw in an end to end affair. Goals from Jack and the incredible 65 year old Mac respectively gave their sides a share of the spoils.

In another fixture, Pretty In Pink managed to outplay The Ercall Ultras, securing a 4-1 victory. Ryan of Pretty in Pink distinguished himself as the player of the match, netting two crucial goals with a further double from Brad ensuring victory. Ercall battled well but couldn't quite match their opponents on the night.

In the final match of the evening, Inter The Pub continued their resurgence with a solid 1 0 victory over The Dogs Ballacks. A well taken strike from Guus was enough for Inter to grab the points backed up by a dogged defensive display.

As we move into the second half of the season, the league tables are starting to take shape, Rowdy lead the way in the Premier Division with Polonia in second place, ready to pounce on any slip ups. In Division 1, Unathletic Bilbao lead the way on goal difference from Sunday Sixes, with 3 more teams 3 points further back.
