In an exhilarating start to the Telford Sunday Premier League season, our league sides clashed in a series of entertaining matches.

In the season opener, new boys The Colonels emerged as victors in their match against fellow debutants Albrighton CC, with a convincing 6-3 win. It was a stunning display of teamwork and skill that set the tone for the rest of the season. Captain Samuel Darko and the skillful Harry, stood out for The Colonels, demonstrating exceptional leadership and game strategy that proved instrumental in their team's success.

In the second match of the evening, Tea and Busquets faced off against another new side Brexit Beauty's in a friendly match. Beauty's came out on top with a flurry of second half goals showcasing their ability to challenge for the higher places this season.

The evening's final match saw another high scoring affair. Current champions Rowdy FC put on a masterclass of offensive football, outclassing Hardly Learning FC 8-2. The star for Rowdy FC was Callum Knowles, who single-handedly dominated the opponent's defense, netting a remarkable 5 goals in the match. Knowles’s performance not only led his team to victory but also positioned him as the top scorer in the Premier League division. Despite the comfortable scoreline, Hardly had numerous chances to make the match a closer affair but unfortunately could not finish their opportunities.

As the season has just started, these opening week performances are crucial for setting the momentum and morale for the upcoming matches. The teams are expected to carry forward this energy and dedication into the rest of the season.
