In the Premier League, Jelly Baby FC and POLONIA TELFORD FC clashed in a high-scoring game that kept spectators on the edge of their seats. Jelly Baby FC walked away with a 5-3 victory as Finn and Charlie starred with well-taken doubles. An additional strike from Tom capped off the scoring with Marcin, Krzysztof and Michal notching for Polonia. The result moves Jelly Baby up to 4th in the table and within touching distance of the top 2.
The 5th week of the Telford Sunday 6-a-side Football League was a thrilling affair that saw some splendid performances across both divisions.
Division 1 also showcased an eventful evening with Real Estates, Inter The Pub, Tea And Busquets, Pretty In Pink, The Dogs Ballacks, and The Ercall Ultras battling it out on the turf. Real Estates left a significant mark by thrashing Inter The Pub 5-1. The most striking performance came from Dan of Real Estates, who netted an incredible four times, making him the top scorer in Division 1 this week. A further goal from Sean was enough to see Real estates cement top spot with Inter grabbing a goal back through Lewis.
Meanwhile, Tea And Busquets lost to Pretty In Pink in a closely contested match that ended 4-3 despite a man of the match performance from Ben Keates. Keates grabbed a terrific hatrick but it was all in vain as Pretty in Pink rifled in 4 goals of their own to take home the points.
The Dogs Ballacks kept up their inconsistent form of late, falling short against The Ercall Ultras. Ultras won the game 2 1 with a superb double from man of the match Harvey. Ballacks replied through Josh Pritchard but ultimately it wasn't enough on the night.
As the league enters its 6th week, the competition is heating up with players and teams pushing their limits. We look forward to more such exciting performances in the weeks to come.
