In the fourth week of the highly competitive Oldham Tuesday Football League, the Premier League and Division 1 witnessed some thrilling clashes and incredible individual performances. Unfortunately Sheffield Tuesday failed to show up again for their fixture so they have now been removed from the league. Their place in the league has been taken by a new team called Sharpshooter FC so we would like to take the opportunity to welcome them and wish them luck for the remainder of the season.
In the Premier League, Barely Athletic proved their dominance by outclassing Inter Yamami with a whopping 8-1 scoreline. The star of the evening was Jack Ellidge who netted four goals, leading his team to a convincing victory and earning himself the title of the 'most valued player of the week'. His spectacular performance also made him the top scorer in the division.
In other Premier League games, Basset secured a strong 9-4 win over 5 Guys 1 Cup, while ATF FC edged Momo FC 7-4 in an engaging face-off. The Radclyffe Boys and OA FC gave a nail-biting encounter which ended in a 2-2 draw.
Meanwhile, in Division 1, the spotlight was stolen by Ethan from We Fit FC. His exceptional skills were on full display as he scored five goals, making him the top scorer in the division. His team also celebrated a triumphant 10-1 victory against the Six Offenders.
In other Division 1 matches, 4G FC defeated Dead Legs 3-1, while Rickys Under 18s held their nerve to sneak a 9-7 win over Dynamos FC. Artois FC also secured a solid 6-2 victory over Shoprite Rovers. The match between the Waterhead Wanderers and Sports Leaders was a close affair, with the latter claiming a narrow 3-2 win.
